about wils

What I Do:
Wils is a teacher, coach, and mindfulness practitioner dedicated to helping people connect with their inner wisdom. With over 15 years of experience in education and wellbeing, she blends compassion, intuition, and practical guidance to support personal growth. Through her work, Wils empowers others to embrace self-care, resilience, and spiritual alignment. As of March, this year, you can find her on the airwaves sharing her unique brand of support through a new podcast focused on the healing power of words. Background:
Wils is an experienced teaching professional, registered with the General Teaching Council of Scotland as a Teacher of English since 2007, and is skilled at the creation and delivery of learning programmes tailored to individual and group needs. She coaches locally, nationally and internationally and provides clients with the challenge, knowledge and strategies needed to overcome blocks, and increase emotional resiliency to be the most empowered they can be.Previously, she has facilitated growth and resilience through assessment, creation and implementation of personalised plans for clients and service users in Barnardos, Childline and the Scottish Association of Mental Health. She has worked closely with Local Education Authorities, Social Service Provisions, Justice Departments, Medical Services and Behavioural Specialists in the last fifteen years.Wils is also a Certified CPD provider of More to Life short courses, a 200hr YTT Kirtan Mantra Leader with Yoga Alliance Professionals, and has a Post-Graduate Certificate in Mindfulness Studies. Wils is committed to lifelong learning through training and also ensures she regularly returns to the 'chalkface' with in person teaching, coaching and training. Her purpose is to empower others to take excellent care of their own needs, so they can better care for each other and the planet.Wils lives in Dundee with her husband, children, and their rather excitable Chihuahua, Stitch.

Contact me at Wils@wilsstruthers-cooper.comIf you need a listening ear and someone to cheer your corner while providing proven strategies and techniques you can utilise in your everyday life, then drop me an email. We will organise a short discovery call where you can explain your concerns, and I will explore whether I can create a programme of support. If I feel that I'm not the right person for the job, I will do my best to signpost you to other professionals or services that may be a better fit.The programmes that I create are time limited and between 1-3 months in duration, depending on need. I will always meet my clients where they are at and allow their needs and wants to be at the forefront of our sessions. Please note that I am not a counsellor, therapist or psychologist. I am a highly skilled and experienced teacher with a wealth of training in mental health, wellbeing, mindfulness and self-compassion strategies that I use to create effective coaching programmes. I am not an alternative to a psychologist or counsellor for individuals with complex mental health needs, or trauma experiences. (In occasional circumstances I can act as a complementary support to a primary professional's work with the correct communication and supports in place.)Contact me on Wils@wilsstruthers-cooper.com to discuss your needs. If you, or a loved one, are currently in crisis, please seek support from the organisations listed in the Additional Resources section.
